It all started when I was a lad growing up I came across Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon album, and one song, in particular, has stayed with me which is called Comfortably Numb. Comftablynum listening to The Wall ;~0.o~;
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey, teachers, leave them kids alone
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
We don’t need no education
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave those kids alone
Hey teachers, leave those kids alone
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
“If you don’t eat yer meat, you can’t have any pudding
How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?”
“You, yes, you behind the bike sheds, stand still, laddy”
These words…”Wrong, do it again! Wrong, do it again!”…would stick in my head and haunt me. I think it’s the Scottish accent that does it, but every time I hear those lyrics the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
From now to then and from me to you. You weren’t wrong, and you don’t have to do it again 🙂
